A student group formed at Vancouver’s Centre for Digital Media, I produced games and concepts with two other classmates, eventually ending up as an independent group with two game titles.
The Dalhousie Gazette is North America’s oldest campus newspaper and one of the largest weekly student papers in Canada. A staff of 15 and hundreds of volunteer contributors cover news and issues relevant to Halifax’s four major universities, as well as the local community. I worked as a volunteer sports contributor for two years, becoming a leading journalist in the local soccer scene before moving into the sports editor position and finally being promoted to editor-in-chief and CEO before leaving at the end of my term.
The Bicentennial Theatre is an integral part of the local arts scene in my hometown and I’ve participated in numerous shows there while also working as an office manager for two summers. Beginning in January 2009, I pitched a production to the theatre board in response to a request-for-proposals and worked for two years under an adjunct team to produce a play for production at the theatre.
